Message from the Principal
St Joseph Community,
My name is Tim Mains, and I have been hired to be the new principal of St Joseph School. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you and to tell you a little about myself.
I grew up on a farm in Falmouth, KY with my seven older siblings. I have been a lifelong member of St Francis Xavier Parish, where I serve as a lector and greeter.
I graduated from Pendleton County High School then attended the University of Kentucky, where I earned a BS and an MS in biosystems engineering. After working in engineering for several years, I was called to teach. I worked at Philip Sharp Middle School for two years teaching math before moving to St Cecilia Catholic School, where I taught middle school science for five years. During this time, I earned an MA in teaching from the University of the Cumberlands and my principal licensure from Xavier University.
I married my wife, Amberly, in November of 2020. We have a cat named Clover, a dog named Macy, a snake named Ludahiss, and some fish. We both love reading, doing puzzles, and playing board and card games.
I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome that I have been given me since being appointed principal. There has been a huge outpouring of love and support from the community. I feel truly honored and blessed to be part of this community.
Timothy Mains
