Carrie Pavis

Greetings Soroptimists!

This Soroptimist Presidency is starting to feel real, as I prepare for my first board meeting as president.

I am looking forward to a productive year, helping our community.

I hope to see many of you at the BBQ on Saturday at TJ Farms and would like to thank Mary Moss and her husband for opening their home and beautiful venue to all of us.

Our first Business Meeting is also right around the corner and then Retreat on Saturday, September 7th. I hope many of you will be able to attend. We will have a full day with lots in store and plenty of activity, good food, friendship, fun, Soroptimist Swag, and even a make and take.

Epicurean Rendezvous
Silent Auction Baskets

Hello SI Chico Members!

As you all know, technically all members of SI Chico are part of the Fundraising Committee. We are all responsible for helping to raise the funds that allow us to support the causes and awards that are central to our work. Though the committee is doing the heavy lifting for our upcoming event, Epicurean Rendezvous, we also need your participation. We are in need of an array of Silent Auction Baskets. Please consider donating a basket yourself or teaming up with other members to put a basket together. If you have a contact at a local business that might be able to provide a basket, please reach out and let us know if you are able to facilitate a donation!

The Fundraising Committee has come up with some suggested ideas but feel free to come up with your own! Since we want to avoid duplicate themes, please contact Lupe Medrano with your theme as soon as possible:
gcmedrano@hotmail.com.   Also, if you have any larger items like sport tickets or timeshares/cabins, we could use those items in the Live Auction.

Please include with your basket a sheet with a list of all items and the total value of your basket. Please wrap your baskets in cellophane, if possible. Completed baskets can be brought to meetings or dropped off at Amy Louis' warehouse, Six Degrees Coffee.

*Please note that procuring or donating a basket is highly appreciated but does not replace your hands-on time helping at one of our fundraising events.

Let us know if you have questions and thank you!

Lupe Medrano & Bonnie Chapman (Fundraising Co-Chairs)
