Every week we are getting closer to The 21st Annual Lakeview East Festival of the Arts! Broadway from Belmont to Hawthorne will transform into an open-air art gallery featuring more than 150 juried artists from around the world showcasing original paintings, photography, jewelry, ceramics, fashion, and more. The full artist lineup is now live, so you can explore each artist's virtual portfolio on the Festival of the Arts website.
The festival also features two stages of live music, a Family Zone with activities for kids, local food vendors, and beer tents. Whether you're coming with family, friends, or on your own, join us for a weekend celebrating art, music, and community!

For our next Lakeview Social + Supper Club, we’re heading to Apothecary Lounge for an intimate evening of sipping, snacking, and getting a little nerdy about one of the bar world’s most interesting categories. Apothecary’s beverage team will guide guests through a flight of four North American-made amaros and liqueurs, exploring how producers on this side of the Atlantic are putting their own spin on bitter, herbal, sweet, spiced, and wonderfully complicated drinking traditions. And because we would never ask you to drink four mysterious herbal concoctions on an empty stomach, Apothecary’s food team is pairing the evening with a Peruvian chicken and watermelon salad followed by blueberry and goat cheese tarts.
Wednesday September 16th, 6 pm
Seating is extremely limited, and is $55 a person! Grab your seat now, we can't wait to sip with you.

| | | | Since opening in 1991, Penny’s Noodle Shop has become one of those rare Chicago restaurants that feels built into the lives of the people who love it. The neighborhood has changed, the restaurant has moved and returned, and ownership has passed from one generation to the next. Through it all, the food, the familiar faces, and the feeling of walking into Penny’s have remained remarkably consistent. That consistency is no accident. It is the legacy Aree was trusted to protect. Read all about Penny's legacy and the talented owner Areerat “Aree” Potikul! Penny's Noodle Shop is a no-frills Pan-Asian diner serving stir-fries and noodles with your choice of meat - fresh, fast, and made to order. Open every single day from 11 am to 9 pm, 3400 N Sheffield Ave. | | | | |
Ever wonder how those beautiful sculptures throughout the neighborhood got there? It’s thanks to the Chicago Sculpture Exhibit, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing large-scale, original artwork into everyday public spaces and beautifying Chicago’s neighborhoods.
On Wednesday, September 9th, they are hosting a party celebrating 25 years of public art, community, and impact! Taking place on Theater on the Lake, from 6 to 9 pm. Tickets include food and drink, entertainment, and fun surprises!
