8 TEAMS COMPETING FOR A SPOT ON STAGE
DURING THIS WEEK'S ACADEMIC PITCHES
Moments from the '23 Minimum Viable Product Pitches
The 2022-23 school year has been another year of student growth and innovation in the Business Incubator program at Lake Forest High School. This year saw the formation of a dozen student teams, guided and mentored by local business leaders. Each team stepped up to the challenge of creating the foundation for its new business with many demonstrating their ability to adapt and pivot their plans in response to feedback and/or unanticipated challenges. The LFHS Foundation is proud to give them a platform to share their ideas with our community in the hopes of attracting investors and raising much needed start-up capital through donations.

In late February, all 12 teams presented minimum viable product (MVP) pitches for our judges. Each team was provided with feedback from our volunteer judges and funding was allocated from the Foundation's Standing MVP Grant for the MVP process. During the next phase of the process, 8 self-selected student teams will make their Academic Pitches to our panel of judges on May 10 and 11 during class. At that time the judges will determine which teams will move on to Pitch Night, the ultimate competition for recognition and financial awards. The teams moving on will be announced on May 12 and will participate in Pitch Night on May 18 starting at 7 PM. This year's event will take place in the Raymond Moore Auditorium at LFHS and the entire community is invited to attend. RSVP TODAY FOR UPDATES BEFORE, DURING & AFTER THE EVENT.

Gear Tree
Our stand uses airflow technology along with our partner's Fresh Wave technology to eliminate moisture and bacteria from sports equipment. Unlike our competitors, we are the only sports gear dryer that goes inside the bag instead of being a bulky stand inside your house. By keeping the gear and the dryer inside the bag, it helps dry and freshen up the gear faster without stinking up your home. Finally, our Gear Tree is adjustable to fit in a sports bag, as well as to become smaller for easy storing unlike our competitions' stands.
