Staff Favorite Moments
The backbone of any good business is the people you work with. We asked our staff to share some of their favorite moments from our 2019 events...
" My favorite moment from this year was at the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation event watching 8-year old Perseverance Awardee Evan come to the stage to say his speech, seeming timid and nervous, and then completely blowing away the crowd with possibly the best speech ever given by a kid. "

 -Allison Geisinger,
Director of Development & Events
"My top moment of 2019 was while working on the Hance Family Foundation’s Legacy of Hope Gala. I was lucky enough to have several conversations with Honoree Ole Henriksen, the skincare magnate who is so full of light and love and positivity, that when he told me I glowed from within, I BELIEVED!!!!"

 -Amy Ferrone,
Manager of Fundraising & Events
" My favorite moment of 2019 was when PBP friend and former Real Housewives of NYC star Heather Thomson lent a hand (and some dance moves) to Look Good Feel Better as they celebrated their 30th year at the BeautyCares DreamBall, when she danced on stage with honoree and IT Cosmetics Co-Founder Jamie Kern Lima!”

 -Christina Grzybowski,
Marketing & Events Coordinator
"One of my favorite moments was at the Sarcoma Foundation of America event, seeing the room light up in celebration as Broadway dancer and Sarcoma Survivor, Evan Ruggiero, performed his one-legged act with his band Evan and the S'Evan Legs. "

 -Maiya Larsen,
Development & Events Coordinator
" Setting my hungry eyes on 1,100+ bodacious guests as they embraced their totally rad inner 80's child at the Two Charities One Goal Benefit Concert supporting R Baby Foundation and Michael’s Mission. Complete with a Rubik's Cube bar, guests sipped Pop Rocks cocktails, ate edible cookie shots and got bad to the bone during performances by Run-DMC and Jessie’s Girl."

-David M. Smith,
Director of Marketing & Events
"One of my favorite moments was at BrainUp's 4th Annual 5K Run/Walk event. It was such an emotional and moving event hearing inspiring speeches and seeing over 1000 people from the Chicago area come together to fight to find a cure for brain cancer."

 -Reese Toshach,
Executive Assistant
"There are a lot of great moments from this past year, but my favorite was probably during the Oligo Nation Spring Inspiration Event. It was seeing the expression on the face of Jodi Kaye, the Courage Award Presenter for the event, as hundreds of people arrived to support her and Oligo Nation. She started the event in 2018 in a friend's apartment, and we were able to more than triple the support for the event this year. She was blown away."

-Scott Hickling,
Database & Events Manager
"Rockin' and Roarin' as a lion in a rock band, my fierce punk ensemble complete with a leather jacket won me first place in the WeWork pet's Halloween costume contest!"

-Nili Richman,
Office Manager
