Company updates from 8-koi :: autumn 2024 | |
As we approach 2025, the "Year of the Snake," symbolizing renewal and transformation, 8-koi is embracing change. We're shedding old practices and stepping into exciting new opportunities. In the coming year we’ll be unveiling a company rebrand that includes a refreshed logo, an updated website and a new color palette. This rebranding is about more than just aesthetics—it’s a strategic move to enhance our security and protect our intellectual property.
We are also thrilled to announce that Cape Design Engineering Co. (CDE) has officially been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Florida Certification Committee, effective November 10, 2024. This prestigious certification opens new doors for us, allowing us to engage with supplier diversity and procurement executives at major corporations and government entities. This recognition further underscores our commitment to diversity and positions us for even greater growth and opportunity in the years ahead.
Additionally, we are proud to share that for the fourth consecutive year we have received the HIRE Vets Award, highlighting our ongoing commitment to supporting veterans. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our team and the meaningful impact we continue to make in our community.
As we continue to evolve, our focus remains on aligning our efforts to build a sustainable and successful business. This year we are reinforcing our position as a high-end design engineering provider and unifying our team to deliver innovative solutions. Together, we’ll continue to design, build, staff and supply moving forward with purpose, navigating challenges and achieving success.
Thank you for your ongoing trust and support. Your feedback is invaluable in this journey. Please connect and share.

MEET THE TEAM
::
Regina "Rocket" A. Weiler
Documentation Specialist
Meet Regina “Rocket” A. Weiler, documentation specialist at 8-koi. She’s a Brevard County native with a passion for learning and a deep commitment to excellence. Rocket’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.
For the past two years Rocket has brought her unique expertise and drive to 8-koi, supporting ISO certification and CDE business and proposal development. One of her first major accomplishments was supporting the company’s ISO 9001-15 certification process—an achievement that speaks to her attention to detail, organizational skills and commitment to operational excellence. Being responsible for ISO internal audits and ISO documentation, she ensures 8-koi adheres to the highest quality management standards. In addition to her work with ISO certification, Rocket has stepped into a business development role, focusing on enhancing the bid identification and proposal development process for Cape Design Engineering (CDE).
Before joining 8-koi, Rocket gained extensive and diverse career experience in public service and education. She began her career as a UCF Legislative Scholar in the Florida House of Representatives where she served as an aide to two representatives. From there she transitioned into working with local government, serving as a legislative aide and communications coordinator for two county commissioners. These roles gave Rocket invaluable insight into the world of politics and public service, which she’s been able to carry forward into her work at 8-koi. In addition to her time in public service, Rocket spent over 10 years teaching at Eastern Florida State College as an adjunct professor where she taught Fundamentals of Speech Communication at the Palm Bay campus.
Rocket has called Brevard County home for over 30 years and her dedication to education and personal growth began early. Attending Eastern Florida State College, she made headlines as the youngest graduate at just 15 years old. By 17 years old she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Pre-law, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Pursuing her passion for education and high achievements, Regina continued to challenge herself, earning a Master’s in Communications Mass Media from UCF at the age of 19. Her academic pursuit didn’t end with a double master’s degree. Rocket also completed a graduate certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security, alongside a second M.A. in Communications and Rhetoric. Her dedication to education exemplifies her drive for continuous improvement and lifelong learning.
As Rocket continues to grow within 8-koi and CDE, her commitment to innovation, excellence and continuous learning will undoubtedly support the company’s success for years to come.
