This past weekend we received 84 cats & kittens who were surrendered by a single owner. All of the cats & kittens appear to be in good condition. Some are a little unsure of their new surroundings but are beginning to adjust with time.

Right now our veterinary staff is continuing to conduct wellness exams and has started performing spay/neuter surgeries on the cats & kittens, as we prepare them for the adoption program.

As you can imagine this unexpected influx of felines during a single weekend can put a strain on resources. This includes staff time and supplies to care for and prepare these kitties for the adoption program.

We are going through lots of litter, cat & kitten chow, shoe boxes, bedding, and more right now! But that is just on the daily care side of the situation! Additional microchips, vaccinations, and Feline Leukemia/FIV tests have been ordered which combined are over $25 per cat/kitten!

We will have some of these cats & kittens available for adoption tomorrow at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center at 11:30am! Keep an eye on our social media pages, website, and your inbox for additional updates about the cats & kittens but in the meantime...
There are many ways you can help make an impact!
