2019-2020 Parish Theme:
Live by the Spirit, Walk by the Spirit
Thank You!
Huge thanks go out to our faculty and parent chaperones for their help with our middle school Dinner and Movie Event Friday night. It was great to see our students together enjoying a fun event just for them.

The feedback from students on Friday's event was overwhelmingly positive. I appreciate all of our parents being so flexible as the theater rearranged start times to accommodate our group that grew to over 100 participants. If we schedule an event like this in the future, we will reserve one of their largest theaters just for our students and their families...lesson learned!
Mass with Bishop Burbidge - 9:00 a.m. on November 19
Our school is blessed to have a visit from Bishop Burbidge on Tuesday, November 19. We just received additional information regarding Bishop's visit to campus.

Mass that day will be at 9:00 a.m. After Mass, Bishop Burbidge will spend time with students in their classrooms.

Noon Dismissal November 19
Bishop Burbidge would like to conclude his visit to Holy Cross Academy with a visit and lunch with our outstanding faculty and staff. We will have a special dismissal time of 12:00 on November 19.

Parents, please make note of this noon dismissal on November 19.
Support Our Washington Nationals
Our hometown Washington Nationals are on their way to the World Series! On their gym day this week, students are invited to wear a Washington Nationals t-shirt, jersey, or sweatshirt with their HCA shorts or sweatpants. It students don't have Washington Nationals gear, they may wear a blue or red t-shirt (the National's team colors) on thier gym day to show their support.

Thanks to Mrs. Wiley and her class for this fun idea to support our local team as they seek their first World Series Title.

Say Cheese! Picture Day at HCA November 4
With the extension of the summer uniform to October 31st, we have re-scheduled our school picture day to Monday, November 4. There are no gym classes on Mondays, so every student should be in their full winter uniform for pictures. This includes the school sweater.

Picture order forms should be arriving at the school soon. We will notify parents via E-blast when they are sent home with students.
Tell a Friend, Tell a Neighbor, Tell Everybody!!! HCA Open House November 12th
Holy Cross Academy will hold our first Open House event of the year on Tuesday, November 12th at 9:00 a.m. It is a great chance for prospective families to tour the school, see our classes in action, and learn more about how their child can become a Holy Cross Academy Crusader.

Please help spread the word to any parent or guardian you know whose child could benefit from a high-quality Catholic education.
