PARKING- Citations are in Effect!

PARKING: As previously reported, the Grass Valley Police Department is issuing citations to cars parked in public spaces for longer than 3 hours.

Chief Gammelgard reported that citations are mounting, with the majority of those citations written to employees and business owners. Citation recipients can either pay their ticket or apply for a Parking Permit in lieu of paying the parking fine.

Here's how to eliminate citations and complaints by following the City's Parking guidelines.

Parking Permits are available at the GVPD (129 South Auburn St) for $45.00 per quarter.

Per the City of Grass Valley's website, here are the locations of the Permitted Lots:

Permit Lot Behind Network Realty: The Permit Lot is located at S Auburn ST and Neal St. It has a capacity of 14 parking spots and 1 ADA spot. You can find this parking area 2 blocks from Mill Street.

Richardson Street Parking Lot: The Richardson Street Parking Lot has 30 parking spots with 2 ADA spots. Located at the corner of N Auburn St and Richardson St, it is at a distance of 2 blocks from Mill Street. View the Downtown PARKING MAP>
