September 11th is recognized as a national day of service and remembrance. To honor the victims and heroes that we lost in 2001 we ask that community members spend the day raising each other up.

This year, HandsOn is offering a 9/11 Service Weekend with volunteer opportunities running from Saturday the 9th to Monday the 11th.

Congress is deciding the funding levels for the national AmeriCorps program. If Congress doesn't provide more funding in FY24 there will be a significant decrease in the services AmeriCorps can provide. Support community programs that depend on AmeriCorps resources.

We are asking for our volunteers and community members to tell their elected officials to support AmeriCorps programming through the following link!

We have curated kit projects that once completed will be spread to those who need it most in the community. Make a reading rocks kits to go to 3rd graders in a Title I school, a superhero cape to a child in the hospital, make a blanket for a veteran, or a stuffed animal to show love to those in the foster system.
