A special Proclamation will be presented by Nashville Mayor John Cooper on behalf of the City of Nashville to mark the official beginning of the national celebration ending on October 15, 2021.

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
At over 62 million, the Hispanic population of the United States is the nation's largest ethnic or racial minority. Hispanics constitute more than 18.7 percent of the nation's total population and close to 7% in Tennessee and 14% of Nashville.
