Illinois Air Team: Mobile Testing Unit Returns To Johnsburg!

MTUs are specially equipped emissions testing vans that are deployed to select locations to provide additional vehicle emissions testing options.

Motorists can use the Vehicle Eligibility Check Tool by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or License Plate Number to identify if their vehicles are eligible to test. Click here for further information.

E-waste Recycling & Brush Drop Off | September 19

The McHenry Township Road District is again offering recycling programs for McHenry Township residents. Your next opportunity to recycle is Saturday September 19, 2026 from 8:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There will be NO drop off of recycling items during the week. Fall Brush Pick-Up Starting Monday, September 21

Fall Brush Pick-Up

•  Staging: No earlier than Saturday, September 12, 2026

•  Placement Deadline: All brush must be placed by 7:00 a.m. on September 21st

•  Start Date: Monday, September 21, 2026 at 7:00 a.m.

Brush Requirements:

•  Minimum 6 ft length, maximum 6 in diameter

•  Cut ends facing the road

•  Stack in neat, manageable piles (avoid one large pile)

•  Separate evergreen branches

Additional Notes:

•  For trimmed branches or storm debris only (no whole trees)

•  Material that cannot be safely chipped will not be collected

•  Max. collection time is 20 minutes per resident

Community Sailing School at Pistakee Fundraiser

CSS@P will host its final fundraising event on Sunday, October 11, at the Pistakee Yacht Club. The event will feature a Chicago Bears game and three raffles: a 50/50 raffle, football squares and a meat raffle.
