Any amount helps support the 718 students at AMHS, teachers and staff.

Academic Magnet High School leads the state with 22 National Merit semifinalists.

“We are so proud of these Raptors for this achievement,” said Academic Magnet Principal Jake Perlmutter. “It is a remarkable personal accomplishment for each of them and a huge organizational accomplishment to have so many students recognized as National Merit semifinalists.”

To become Finalists, Semifinalists and school administrators must submit detailed scholarship applications by October 11, 2023. More info here.

National Merit Scholarship winners of 2024 will be announced in four nationwide news releases beginning in April and concluding in July.

On campus college rep visits are open to all grades.

Order here. Our school code is 25698, which has to be typed in to place orders for our school.

The price is $65 until January 15th. It will go up to $70. ads can be purchased through the same website. There are several options to choose from and yearbooks ads can be placed as well.

Don't forget to pick this up at the front entrance of Building 8.

Ms. Mansfield, the 2023-24 College and Career Specialist, is on the AMHS campus on Wednesdays and Thursdays during school hours.

Congratulations to Alaina Jarrett '25 of @raptorsvolleyball on her commitment to @vol_vball

Maggie Largent '24 of @raptorswimming was named the Raptor Athlete-of-the-Week after being nominated by TWO coaches this week.

Coach Healy noted, "Maggie is one of our senior leaders for swim. Maggie is a natural leader. In addition to leading the girls' team by example, Maggie is always willing to put in hard work..."

Coach Hainline said, "Maggie stepped up in a big way... There was an injury, and Maggie knew exactly what to do. She not only kept her calm, she helped the injured swimmer and... made it as seemless as possible."

This week's Raptor Athlete-of-the-Week goes to senior Anna Hollister of @amhsgirlsxc



Coach Hooffstetter said, "Anna broke the AMHS girl's XC record on Saturday by running 18:53, a new PR for her. The previous record was set 10 years ago." Coach Hooff also commented on Anna's positive presence, attitude, and leadership as well as her efforts in building team spirit.

Anna only wanted her picture taken with her teammates together to celebrate all of their efforts.
