Streamlined Application Process
Emergency Rental Assistance Alabama Streamlined Application Processing Pilot Program For AHFA-Funded Projects
 
In response to recent changes in Treasury regulations which now allow for reduced and streamlined documentation and eligibility requirements for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, owners of AHFA-funded projects are invited to participate in a limited pilot program launch through September 30, 2021, subject to ERA eligibility requirements and guidelines.
 
Benefits of Enrollment include:
 
  • Save time in assisting tenants applying for rental and utility assistance
  • Allows bulk upload of tenant information by project
  • Certify previously documented tenant information in bulk
  • Improve collection of rental fees (past due and future amounts) up to 15 months)
  • Reduce the burden of costly evictions
  • Minimum documentation requirements

To participate, AHFA-funded project owners are encouraged to email ERA Alabama at (ERAAHFAFunded@ahfa.com) to schedule an initial consultation appointment to learn more about this pilot program. Please expect an ERA Alabama representative to contact you regarding your participation. Your immediate response is requested as the initial enrollment in this pilot program may be limited.
