A Message from the Principal
Hello,

Unlike the 2020-2021 school year, many of our students are participating in sports and extra-curricular activities outside of St. Joseph School. Although we're very excited that our children are returning to their normal routines, this increases their risk of exposure to COVID-19. Please remember to have your children practice good hygiene. In addition, if your child has COVID-19 symptoms, please keep them home from school. If you have any questions, contact our school nurse, Leah Belanger, at nurse@sjs-webster.com. Thank you for your cooperation.

We are also excited that our own soccer program will resume this week. Thank you to all who registered. Please see below for the practice schedule as well as information regarding the first game of the season.

In addition, reminders regarding Monday's H.S.A. $2.00 Dress Down Day, their Scarecrow Fundraiser, the current National Junior Honor Society Community Service Project, and important upcoming dates are also below.

SJS Athletics: Soccer Update
St. Joseph School Soccer will begin their Tuesday & Wednesday practices this week Tuesday, September 28th. Practices will be held at the George Street Fields from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm. Players MUST have a soccer ball, cleats, and shin guards. Please bring a water bottle. The first game of the season will be on Friday, October 1st at 3:30pm at the Berthold Field. Please refer to the Sports & Club Events Calendar on our WEBSITE.

Uniforms jerseys will be distributed on Wednesday at practice. Players will need to provide their own black soccer shorts and socks.

Looking for a fun family event, well we have an idea for you! Make a scarecrow with your family at Bemis Farms Nursery in Spencer, MA.

Throughout the following weekends:

9/18-9/19, 9/25-9/26, 10/2-10/3, 10/9-10/11, 10/16-10/17 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

NJHS Eagles Chapter - Community Service Project
The Sleeping Bag Ministry at the United Church of Christ needs our help. The ladies have made over 200 sleeping bags for the homeless that need Health Kits to go with the bags.  

The Eagles Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is collecting donations from September 20th through September 24th. Each class has a specific item to donate.

PreK (both classes).........Bar Soap
Kindergarten....................Band-Aids
Grade 1...........................Combs (men’s and lady's)
Grade 2...........................Toothbrushes
Grade 3...........................Toothpaste
Grade 4...........................Shampoo
Grade 5...........................Tissues (individual packs)
Grade 6...........................Wash Cloths & Hand Towels
Grade 7...........................Men’s Ties (to close sleeping bags)
Grade 8...........................Hand Lotion & Hand Sanitizer

NJHS members will package the kits and deliver them to the United Church of Christ.

We are most grateful for your donations to help the homeless.
