The *NEW* NHS Tutoring Help Desk:

The NHS Tutoring Help Desk will be outside Ms. Renes’s room everyday during lunch starting October 9, 2023. The help desk is a physical place where students can go to sign up for tutoring with a member of NHS without having to fill out the Request Form.

SENIORS!

• Check your deadlines and submit applications a few days before in case there are technical difficulties, etc.
• It takes time for ACT and SAT to send scores to colleges. If you are sending them, then send them 2 weeks prior to deadlines.

What is Naviance?

Naviance was built for career exploration, college and career preparation and self-discovery.

It allows students in all grades to create a personalized plan that helps them make the right decisions throughout their academic journey.

Naviance Research tools are focused on helping students find their best fit post-secondary college and prepares them to apply to and pay for post-secondary options.

Reach out to your school counselor for more information. Parents can get a registration code from their student's school counselor to set up a parent account.

PIE TIP: Students and parents, you can "favorite" colleges in your Naviance account if you want to get a notice / reminder for particular college visits to AMHS.

Register through Naviance to show demonstrated interest. These sessions are open for all grades. 

Ms. Mansfield, the 2023-24 College and Career Specialist, is on the AMHS campus on Wednesdays and Thursdays during school hours.

The Screenagers: Under the Influence documentary addresses vaping, drugs in the digital age and examines how technology shapes substance use by teenagers is coming to Charleston.

Each screening will be open to the public, and will be followed by a Q&A session featuring parenting experts and education professionals. We will also be presenting attendees with crucial information about resources and support groups related to the topics presented in each film.
