In accordance with Section 305(a)(1) of the Tax-Payer Certainty and Disaster Tax Relief Act of 2020, Section II.A. of the 2021 Housing Credit Qualified Allocation Plan and Section 42(h)(1)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code, disaster credits may be allocated in 2021 to projects that submit a Cost Certification and meet all of the following criteria:
- The Project is located in one of the following disaster counties: Baldwin, Clarke, Dallas, Escambia, Marengo, Mobile, Perry, Washington, or Wilcox County
- The project Placed in Service in 2021
- An Actual Cost Certification is submitted to AHFA, prior to December 1, 2021, that indicates the need for additional Housing Credits
- The Owner submits a request for disaster credits
- AHFA approves the Project for additional Housing Credits
