Dear Friend of CCSD93,
CCSD93 Middle Schools Compete in Cross Country & Soccer!
Yesterday, the boys and girls cross country and boys soccer seasons kicked off for Jay Stream and Stratford as the schools squared off in both sports.

The Crosstown Cup Cross Country Classic took place at Jay Stream, with races for 6th and 7th grade girls, 6th and 7th grade boys, and combined 8th grade girls and boys. Meanwhile at Stratford, our middle school boys varsity soccer teams started their second ever seasons by playing an exhibition game, and Jay Stream's junior varsity squad played at Jefferson.
Yesterday's competitions were hard fought with terrific sportsmanship among participating students. I always love the friendly rivalry between our two middle schools! It couldn't have been a nicer day outside, either.

I'm grateful that our School Board and community are so supportive of CCSD93's sports and the wide variety of additional extracurricular activities that we're able to offer students. As we consistently strive to meet our primary Strategic Goal of providing a relevant education to all students, it's critical that students are able to participate not only in engaging classroom lessons, but also in clubs, arts, athletics, and other programs that pique their interests. Each is a component that contributes to our community's children receiving a well-rounded education. Here are a few photos from yesterday's competitions.
Please be sure to review the pieces below about CCSD93's Week in Review, our Board meeting, and another local community event.

Thank you, and enjoy your weekend!

See What a Relevant Education for All Students Looks Like with CCSD93's Week in Review!
At CCSD93, our dedicated educators constantly provide students with innovative, relevant, and engaging student learning opportunities. Many of our educators are active on Twitter, which opens a window for the community to take a firsthand look at classroom happenings and successes every day. Each week, we compile these tweets into the CCSD93 Week in Review and post it to our Facebook page on Saturday morning.

You're invited to check out this week's CCSD93 Week in Review here or by clicking the image above! You don't need a Twitter account to view it, but if you do have one, feel free to follow CCSD93 or any of our educators!
