Construction Update

March 1, 2024

Upcoming Activities

As early as Thursday, March 7 and again on Thursday, March 14 between 4:00 a.m. and noon, crews will begin pouring the concrete deck to construct the new, widened outside lanes across the Jordan River.

  • Work will have an early morning start lasting through early afternoon with no impacts to traffic.

As early as Thursday, March 7, crews will begin overnight work from 8:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. in the intersection of 1300 West 9000 South to install a new canal irrigation line. This work will take place nightly for a minimum of two weeks and consists of crossing the south side of 1300 West and the east side of 9000 South.

  • Motorists can expect lane closures on 9000 South and 1300 West along with periodic closures of southbound 1300 West. When 1300 West is closed, use Redwood Road to 9800 South as an alternate route.

Area residents may expect an increase in overnight/early morning construction related noise and vibration.

Ongoing Activities

Shifting lanes and lane closures at all hours for roadway maintenance (pothole repair, line painting, debris removal, etc.).

Support Local Business

Supporting local businesses not only stimulates local economies, but the tax revenue made through sale taxes from local businesses supports local government. This is then used to reinvest in the community. During construction, it is especially important to make a commitment to shop locally and support small businesses along the corridor.

Accesses to all your favorite businesses will always be maintained - just maybe in a different location. #ShopLocal
