Construction Update

October 9, 2024

Upcoming Activities

Tonight, Wednesday, October 9, crews will make an emergency repair to a water line under 9000 South near 1230 West. This work will start at 8:00 p.m. and require one eastbound lane to close through 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Additional night work is possible.

Area residents may experience an increase in overnight construction related noise and area lighting. Drivers should reduce speed through the work zone and watch for shifting traffic lanes and sudden stopping traffic.

All left turns between Redwood Road and 700 West (except 1300 West) have been temporarily closed (see detour maps below).

Due to material availability, the work in the 1300 West intersection has been rescheduled for November 1 - 4 (weather permitting).

Ongoing Activities

Crews have shifted eastbound traffic onto the new asphalt between Redwood Road and the Jordan River and have started work in the center of the roadway.

During this time, left turning movements across 9000 South will not be allowed. Vehicles exiting driveways or other side streets will be required to turn right. Drivers should not enter the work zone as there will be severe drop-offs as crews will be removing 7"-12" of asphalt. Please make U-turns at Redwood Road, 1300 West, or 450 West. See detour maps below.
