Construction Update

The anticipated end date is subject to change due to weather, mechanical issues, or material availability.

Upcoming Activities

The week of June 30, the ADA pedestrian ramp work will start on the south side of 9000 South near 600 West. Patrons to the adjacent businesses should use the access from 700 West. This closure will last up to one week.

In time for the 4th of July Holiday weekend, all traffic lanes will be opened by the end of the day on Thursday, July 3. Thank you for your patience during this project!


Additional shoulder closures may be needed as crews finish the final pieces of work.

Remaining Activities

Crews have nearly completed this nearly 1.5-mile road widening project. The following list of remaining items will be completed through July:

  • Sidewalks between 900 West and 700 West
  • Median curb on 700 West, between the Jordan River and 700 West, and near 900 West
  • Installation of new street signs
  • Installation of grooved in lane lines (night work)
  • Landscaping
  • Final inspection and to do list

New Area Projects

9000 South; Redwood Road to Bangerter Highway

UDOT has started a road resurfacing project on 9000 South between Redwood Road and Bangerter Highway.

State Street; 9400 South to I-215

UDOT has started a road resurfacing project on State Street between 9400 South in Sandy and I-215 in Murray.

UTA Bus Route F590 - Due to construction activities, the bus stops within work areas may have temporary closures and stop adjustments.

Visit UTA's website for specific stop information.

Safety

Some sidewalks and bicycle lanes may be closed between 700 West and 900 West. Pedestrians and bicyclists should follow posted detour signs.
