Construction Update

October 3, 2024

Upcoming Activities

Crews have shifted eastbound traffic onto the new asphalt between Redwood Road and the Jordan River and have started work in the center of the roadway.

Starting as early as Monday, October 7, crews will remove the old asphalt in the center of 9000 South. Removal and replacement of new asphalt is scheduled as follows:

  • Redwood Road to 1510 West - October 7-10
  • 1510 West - 1300 West - October 9-14
  • 1300 West - 1075 West - October 11-16
  • 1075 West - Jordan River - October 15-18
  • 1300 West Intersection (center portion) - October 18-20

During this time, left turning movements across 9000 South will not be allowed. Vehicles exiting driveways or other side streets will be required to turn right. Drivers should not enter the work zone as there will be severe drop-offs as crews will be removing 7"-12" of asphalt. Please make U-turns at Redwood Road, 1300 West, or 450 West. See detour maps below.

Ongoing Activities

Crews continue on the center section of new bridge over the Jordan River along with installing new traffic signal poles and street lighting conduit.

Traffic accessing the River Oaks Driving Range may only access the parking lot from eastbound 9000 South. Westbound traffic may only make a U-turn at 1300 West. See the detour map.
