Construction Update

May 13, 2025

Upcoming Activities

Crews continue replacing the ADA pedestrian ramps at intersections along 9000 South.

Holy Cross Jordan Valley Hospital - Wednesday, May 14 through Friday, May 16. Crews will be working on the 9000 South driveways with short-term temporary closures between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. To avoid delays, use the access on 3400 West for hospital access. See the map for additional details.

Crews will be rebuilding the ADA pedestrian ramps on 9000 South in front of Holy Cross Jordan Valley Hospital requiring short-term driveway closures. This is the detour map showing traffic using 3400 West to avoid delays.

Right shoulders both eastbound and westbound may be closed where work is taking place. Pedestrians should follow the posted detour signs and avoid walking in the work zones.

Crews will begin the overnight asphalt removal and replacement part of the project in late-May or June.

The project is scheduled for completion at the end of August.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather and material/equipment availability.

Project Overview

To extend the life of 9000 South, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will remove and replace the asphalt and upgrade the ADA pedestrian ramps along 9000 South between Redwood Road and Bangerter Highway in the spring and summer of 2025. When that work occurs, UDOT (in coordination with West Jordan City) will add buffered bicycle lanes on both sides of 9000 South. This change will eliminate on-street parking on both sides of 9000 South.
