Construction Update

July 16, 2025

In observance of the Pioneer Day Holiday on July 24, crews will suspend construction activities starting at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23 through 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 28. All traffic control will be removed from the road during this time.

Ongoing Activities

The asphalt removal and replacement project between Bangerter Highway and Redwood Road is nearly complete.

Remaining work includes:

• Installing the final bicycle lane road markings
• Final inspection

All remaining work will take place during the day. The right shoulders of 9000 South may be closed while this finish work takes place.

Any final inspection items (if any) may be completed in August.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather and material/equipment availability.

Crews have completed the asphalt removal and replacement portion of the project and will finish the entire project by the end of July.

These lane lines and road markings are grooved in to the road to prevent being damaged by snow plows.
