Volunteer Spotlight: Ron Lampo
This month FISH would like to honor Ron Lampo, a volunteer and Trustee on the FISH Board, for his dedication and support of our mission. Ron first came to FISH when his children were young and has continued volunteering ever since. He has helped with numerous food drives, community events, and our emergency response food program. He exudes compassion and generosity, promoting the importance of giving back to your community with everyone he meets. He is also a rock star at our annual Stamp Out Hunger event, often working a 10-hour day to make sure all of the food is collected and returned to FISH. Thank you for all you do, Ron!
5X5 Art Auction Raises More than $3,200!
It was an impressive scene with 100+ amazing works of 5X5 art at this first-time fundraiser sponsored by Work at 26 and the Schafer family. We are deeply grateful to all of the artists who contributed and everyone who attended, making the event such a success! Special thanks to Kira Gehle, Home Depot, BCAH, the Broomfield Symphony, and our YAB students for their support in helping us raise more than $3,200 for families in need. Creativity abounds in our community and this was a wonderful opportunity to leverage art for charity. If we are lucky, this will become an annual event!
