Dear Artisans,

For the last few years, we've served these utterly spectacular magnums at all of our personal and professional celebrations. This wine is far from peaking, yet astoundingly drinks at its apex right now:
We just realized we have only 14 magnums left, so we stopped getting high off our own supply because we insist that you also experience Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon at its finest.

It's no surprise that their veteran winemaker Sean Capiaux spent years at Peter Michael and Pine Ridge.

We're not the only ones saying this. Cellar Tracker users are also relishing this:
More about O'Shaughnessy & Sean Capiaux:

Founder and owner Betty O'Shaughnessy produced her first commercial vintage in 2000. The primary goal of this winery is to produce world-class Cabernet Sauvignons and their growing and winemaking decisions are entirely centered around this philosophy. Twenty nine acres of the estate vineyards which surround the winery are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and another six acres are planted to the typical Bordeaux blending varietals. In addition, they have a small vineyard on Mt. Veeder located on the other side of the valley.

Winemaker Sean Capiaux has established an impressive and notable career over the past twenty-six years at prominent wineries around the globe. He graduated from California State University, Fresno (BS, Enology; minor in Chemistry) in the late-80's and began his career at Jordan Winery in Sonoma County's Alexander Valley. Sean traveled to Perth, Australia to work on the winemaking team at the Houghton Winery and later returned to the United States to become the assistant winemaker at Pine Ridge Winery in the Stags Leap District. Peter Michael Winery tapped him to become their assistant winemaker where he worked for four years. Sean spent several years as a bicoastal winemaker attending to wines both on Long Island and in California before coming to O'Shaughnessy.

When it comes to Mountain Napa Cab, there's nothing we'd recommend more than these last 14 magnums to celebrate your team's victory, bolster your cellar, or to simply experience as a fine wine lover.

2020 RAEN "Royal St. Robert Cuvee" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

96 Points - International Wine Report:
"The 2015 Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon is a total knockout in this vintage. It instantly opens with seductive aromas of ripe dark currants, blueberries, sweet exotic spices, violets, pencil shavings and tobacco all taking shape. Incredibly expressive, this full-bodied red is dense, layered with a gorgeous voluptuous texture that is nearly impossible to resist. It continues to display remarkable depth and concentration, with a mouthful of delicious ripe dark fruits and exotic spices that envelope the palate. This stunning wine comes to an end with a wonderful supple finish which shows tremendous length. While this is nothing short of absolutely stunning now, it will also cellar marvelously over the next decade or two. 2020-2040."- J. D'Angelo (7/18)

95+ Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"Inky purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt Veeder gives up notes of black currant pastilles, baked blackberries and mulberries with hints of mocha, underbrush and smoked meat. Full-bodied and completely packed with wonderful earth, fruit and savory layers, it has a rock-solid foundation of ripe tannins and refreshing acid, finishing with great purity." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (31st Oct 2017)

93 Points - Vinous:
"The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (Mount Veeder) is by far the most refined of the wines I tasted at O'Shaughnessy. Sweet floral notes, bright red-toned fruit and mid-weight structure give the 2015 much of its distinctive personality and feel. Next to the other 2015s here, the Mount Veeder Cabernet is lifted, polished and impeccably gracious. O'Shaughnessy's Mount Veeder site seems to have handled the rigors of the growing season far better than Howell Mountain." - Antonio Galloni (Mar 2018)

93 Points - James Suckling:
"Lots of blackcurrant and rose petal character with hints of stems. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. A solid wine with a future. Give it two to four years to soften. Try in 2020."
