2021 Environmental Award
The City of Encinitas Environmental Commission announced the 2021 winners of its Environmental Award Program (EAP), with the awards presented at the June 22 City Council meeting. The EAP seeks to recognize deserving individuals, businesses, and non-profits for commitment to environmental stewardship and outstanding environmental achievements.
CRC is honored to be recipient of the Excellence in Environmental Stewardship Non-profit Organization award, with recognition of our efforts to rescue edible food from grocery stores, restaurants and other food generating businesses, reduce food waste, and compost organic waste in our Food and Nutrition Center (FNC).
CRC’s leadership helps fight hunger, provides crucial logistics for our community and grocery stores to fulfill their roles to rescue food, and reduces methane producing organic waste from going to our landfills.
Thank you for recognizing our environmental efforts with this award!

Summer Appeal
Approximately 1 in 3 San Diegans experience nutrition insecurity, which means they are unable to provide three nutritious meals per day for themselves and/or their families.
The good news is, you can make a real difference! You feed hope by providing healthy food to hundreds of households who come to CRC each month for support.
And remember, CRC helps with more than healthy food ... we help provide stable housing and safety from domestic violence, too. Our programs help so many, but we need your partnership to continue this work.

YOU make an impact in our community, YOU feed hope!
