Confirmation Mass Dates
and
February at home Retreat
As we approach the month of May and our Confirmation Mass we have made some updates. At this time we feel it is important that we celebrate three Confirmation Masses instead of one. We will use the model we used in the Fall for our last Confirmation Class. This model was well executed and followed all the protocols to keep everyone in attendance safe.
Also, your teens should all be working their way through their at home Confirmation retreats. Please see below on information for both the Confirmation Mass and the Confirmation Retreat.

  • Confirmation Masses: We will celebrate three Confirmation Masses in total; in addition to our original Mass on May 5, 2021 we will also celebrate a Confirmation Liturgy on May 4, 2021 and May 6, 2021. All three Masses will begin at 7pm in the Church. Each Mass will have 25 spots available for families to sign up for on Sign Up Genius. In addition to the candidate and sponsor only immediate family will be able to attend (parents and siblings), all three Masses will be live streamed for extended family and friends to watch. The Candidates and sponsors are asked to arrive at 6:15pm and the rest of the family at 6:45pm. Our walk through for Confirmation will be our final session in April. We ask that all sponsors attend that event if they are local. If the sponsor is out of town and cannot make that evening a parent may stand in the sponsors place. Please use this link for Confirmation Masses to sign up for the Mass you would like to attend.

  • Retreat *PLEASE READ*: Your teens should be working through their Confirmation Retreat packet they received at our January meeting. Our retreat this year will be focused on their personal relationship with God. We encourage you to look through it with your teens because there are many things you can do as a family to help them with their retreat. The goal of the retreat is that they are able to spend some moment with God in personal prayer every day. Some days this may look like one minute of thanking God for the blessings of the day, other days going to Mass, family prayer time, etc. Parents MUST SIGN the packet before it comes back to us in March. There will be no in person meeting in February. Our next meeting will be in March.

  • Times and Place. Confirmation Preparation will meet in the CHURCH for March and April sessions. We have two time slots available: 5:30pm-6:30pm and 7pm-8pm. All teens must be signed up through our Sign Up Genius link: Click here for link Your teen must attend the session they are signed up for, in order for us to comply with all social distancing protocols. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Forms. If you have any forms to be turned in, there will be a basket at the check in table for your teens to put them in. Please put all forms in an envelope with your teens name on it and label it Confirmation Forms. For the month of February you can drop them off or mail them to the Parish Office on Weekdays from 9am-4pm.

  • Engagements. Bake desserts for our Thea Bowman to go Lunch meal or make snack bags for children at Thea Bowman Center, contact Corey Lesko for more information. Another option is to make Homeless bags with travel size toiletries for Trial of Hope, contact Corey Lesko for more information.
