Pet of the Month: Lexie Rose

Hi Fur-Get Me Not Family,,

March brings a fresh wave of energy to our daycare! This month is all about more than just physical play; we’re focusing on how we can help your dog reach a state of holistic, fulfilled tired.

We know you want your pup to come home happy and relaxed. To achieve that, many dogs need their brains and senses engaged as much as their paws. Our Enrichment Activities are expertly designed to do just that. From personalized 1:1 activities and nature walks to our small-group camps and our comprehensive Enrichment School, we have a path for every personality. Sample something with our *NEW* Enrichment Corner in the lobby!

Oh and you'll want to meet Lexi - our March Pet of the Month!

In case you missed it...

Valentine's party recap

Valentine's Party

2/13

Launched a new Enrichment Corner where your dog can try some of the things we offer during enrichment activities, camps, school, and classes. Next time you see this in our lobby, let your dog investigate and ask us how your dog can get signed up.

Spring Break is Peak Season!

Spring Break in Arlington and other local area schools is the week of March 30. If you are traveling and have not booked your pet care reservations, we are almost full. There is already a wait list for daycare.

If your dog is already on the daycare schedule during Spring Break, our Peak Cancellation Policy applies. For peak seasons, we require 14-days advance cancellation notice without charge. This is to ensure we can move customers off our wait list as soon as possible.

Any daycare or boarding reservation between Saturday, 3/28 and Sunday, 4/5 must be cancelled by Friday, 3/13. Otherwise full fees apply for late cancellations or no shows.

If you need pet sitting, please make your reservation now so we can prepare our team of employees.

Policy Alert: Spring Break (March 28–April 5) is at capacity. If your plans have changed, please let us know by March 13th. This allows us to open spots for neighbors on our waitlist and helps you avoid cancellation fees.

March Class Schedule

Our March Class Schedule has officially dropped, and we are kicking things off with a bang! Whether it’s conquering the teeter, navigating hoops, or mastering the shopping cart (as seen in this photo -->), The Obstacle Course class is the ultimate way to build confidence and bond with your pup.

Lexie Rose

March Pet Of the Month

Lexie Rose is a female Vizsla, nearly 2 years old and has been using our dog daycare, puppy/senior dog walks, and on demand training while at daycare. Client has been using Fur-Get Me Not services since 2014 with beloved EverGreen who was also a Vizsla and May 2022 alumnus.

Words to live by: "It's Play Time - Be Happy"

The Vizsla Vibe: Vizslas are known for energy! What is Lexie’s absolute favorite thing to do when she arrives for her dog daycare days with us? I assume it's play with her daycare buddies and get love'n from the staff – as the 'Velcro' Vizsla she is..

Brainiacs & Training: We know she participates in On-Demand Training during daycare. What is the newest skill or biggest "lightbulb moment" she’s had with our training team recently? Recently, Lexie has had significant success with her "Stay" behavior. She's beginning to understand the cue in a variety of environments, and we're quickly building more duration and distractions!

Making Life Easier: Living in the busy Northern Virginia / DC metro area, how does having a reliable dog walker or daycare plan help your daily routine or give you peace of mind while you’re at work? OMG, it's huge! Having a reliable walk/daycare plan, training resource, and care provider to help support Lexie allows me to be fully present at work or running other required errands.

Quirks & Comedy: What is the funniest, most unique personality quirk Lexie has that makes you laugh every day? Honestly, and maybe because Lexie is still in her puppy years, it's her almost endless desire to play. Most evenings, when I'm ready to wind down, Lexie will pop up off the couch, bounce off the floor, and let me know she's ready for another round of play with a goofy face expression and funny voice (aka a bark). Absolutely hilarious.

The "Fur-Get Me Not" Factor: You have been part of our family for over a decade. What is the main reason you continue to choose our team for pet care over other options in the area? As we discussed earlier, the reliability and care of the staff and services exceed my expectations and help me provide a solid day-to-day, week-to-week routine to Lexie.

If Lexie could tell other dogs about her experience, what would she say? "Whoof, whoof" in her happy voice. Translation: I had a great day and look forward to my next visit!
