Hackathon Through May 30
Lift Up Lou “Hackathon” Calls For Covid-19 Projects. Mayor Greg Fischer is calling upon Louisville’s tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and creative problem solvers to help address the challenges local organizations are facing due to COVID-19. The group will unite for Louisville’s first virtual hackathon, sponsored by Microsoft’s Future of Work Initiative and Humana. The event is organized in partnership with Louisville Metro Government, KentuckianaWorks, Microsoft’s Future of Work Initiative, Humana and Louisville Entrepreneurship Acceleration Partnership (LEAP).

Starting Wednesday, May 5, any local organization can submit a problem they are encountering as a result of COVID-19 with a description of its impact. Those problems will be shared publicly on LiftUpLou.com and through social media @LiftUpLou, and community members will have the opportunity to lend their unique ideas and talents to solve them. Hackathon volunteers will work in small groups to develop their solutions over five days and will then present them via a live Facebook event on Saturday, May 30, 2020.

Louisville's Co-Immunity Project Began Testing. ( This is a combination of live virus and antibody testing of healthcare workers at Norton, Baptist and UofL Health, and includes identification of the most effective convalescent plasma to use in treating patients.)

TALK's 4th Annual Cybersecurity Summit will be held from 8:30 AM to 4 :30 PM on  Friday, June 12th,  with networking in Zoom and Facebook Live  on our TALK Page.  The full agenda and its options with networking will go up tomorrow on May 11 by 5 PM on the TALK website and Eventbrite . This is designed for tech and C-Suite professionals, but all are welcome as  this is a free event.  Hourly talks on different subjects related to cyber policy, cyber hygiene, and related topics of incident response planning, and government support mechanisms when there is a cyber attack.
