Restoration has been an anchor institution in Central Brooklyn for more than 50 years. Building on this legacy, Restoration's board recently embarked on an inclusive strategic planning process. The process and plan were designed to guide the organization's work through and beyond the next five years.
This visionary planning process – managed by
The Whelan Group
– framed a new organizational agenda and strategy. Restoration’s work will focus on personal wealth creation, especially for African American members of the community.
The strategy also seeks to strengthen a community-wide culture of equity and inclusion for all of Central Brooklyn. Restoration will now redirect its programs and services so that they focus intensively on wealth creation strategies for individuals as well as accumulating retained earnings for private businesses and net assets for nonprofits.
