PASTOR JACK HIBBS REGARDING A.B. 2223 & LOBBY DAY:

We saw nearly 3,000 people at the Capitol steps yesterday as well as seven pastors.

Here’s where we go next in light of yesterday's defeat in the Health Committee:

  • AB 2223 has passed in two CA assembly committees: the Judiciary and the Health Committee.

  • The bill will now proceed to the CA Appropriations Committee and then to the CA Assembly floor. This means that every California assembly member will vote on the bill at that time.

  • Should the bill pass on the CA Assembly floor, it will move to the CA Senate where it will likely be sent to the CA Senate Judiciary and Health committees.

  • Should it pass in those 2 committees, it will then go to the CA Governor. He will sign or veto AB 2223. Since he wants to make California an “abortion sanctuary state” he will likely sign it into law.

At this point, we want to encourage every Californian to contact their CA assembly member and tell him or her to vote "no" on AB 2223.

The author of AB 2223, Assembly Member Buffy Wicks, uses the word “perinatal” in the text of the bill:

AB 2223 text:
SEC. 7. 123467. (a) Notwithstanding any other law, a person shall not be subject to civil or criminal liability or penalty, or otherwise deprived of their rights under this article, based on their actions or omissions with respect to their pregnancy or actual, potential, or alleged pregnancy outcome, including miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion, or perinatal death due to a pregnancy-related cause.”

California Code defines "Perinatal" as:
• (b) “Perinatal” means the period from the establishment of pregnancy to one month (30 days) after birth, following delivery.

Obey the Word of God regardless of the outcome. There’s a day of judgment coming for the believer which will be all about us having been faithful to HIM who is mighty to save!

"Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy."
Proverbs 31:8–9
