Merging with Success 4 Kids & Families

The Crisis Center is very excited to be merging with Success 4 Kids & Families in the new year! Leadership at Success 4 Kids & Families evaluated their organization's needs and determined it was an ideal time to find another organization with a similar mission and cultural values and initiate a merger. The Crisis Center fit this vision.

The services provided by Success 4 Kids & Families directly align with the mission of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. We will be able to provide operational efficiencies while still maintaining the unique and valuable services Success 4 Kids & Families provides to our community.

This news also provides a full-circle moment for Crisis Center President & CEO, Clara Reynolds, who helped launch Success 4 Kids and Families almost twenty years ago when it first opened its doors. The merger will go into effect January 1, 2025, so both organizations have the remainder of the year to navigate changes and ensure a smooth transition for clients and staff.

Expanding into the Bernett Gateway Room

Over the past few years, the services provided within the Gateway Contact Center have expanded to cover seven phone lines, with new programs being introduced to meet growing needs throughout our community. With additional staff being hired to answer calls and provide support, we quickly outgrew our existing contact center.

Thankfully, a legacy gift made to the Crisis Center arrived just in time to support our expansion needs. Adele Bernett passed in 2021 but had a wish that she would leave a legacy of love in giving throughout the Tampa Bay area. She left the bulk of her estate to charities throughout our community, and the Crisis Center was fortunate to be a beneficiary. Her donation was put towards renovating a conference room to accommodate an additional call center. Thanks to Adele’s gift, we now have staff operating out of the Bernett Gateway Room.
