A Big Honor and Thank You!
As many of you know, my love and dedication to the financial planning profession runs deep. When I started Life Planning Partners, Inc. 20 years ago, many financial planners offered their help, advice, and encouragement to help me get started. I couldn’t have done it without them, and I began looking for ways to pay it forward.
Early in my career, I began to recognize how much health care intersects with personal finance, and I started teaching other financial planners about topics such as insurability, chronic illness planning, and aging planning. These discussions reached the ears of the press, and I have been fortunate to also have their help through the years educating the public about these important subjects.
Never in a million years would I have guessed when I started this profession how much this work would impact financial planning today. Last week, I was honored by Investment News in New York with the Alexandra Armstrong Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is given to a female who has greatly transformed wealth management and the financial planning profession.
I am so grateful for the Life Planning Partners crew, and especially Krissy DiCandia. I couldn’t have done this work without their support. Krissy attended the award ceremony in New York with Trib and me. It was a great celebration.
Thank you also to our wonderful clients. You’ve taught me so much and this has helped countless people throughout the country. You graciously let me “experiment” with processes to help with the financial challenges of issues such as aging, illness, and end of life. This award is a testament to the impact we had and will continue to have in improving a profession that can help so many people.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
