Did you hear the big news? Say Yes Guilford is now shift_ed!

While, we will still offer all the services you’ve come to count on like tutoring, career exploration, college and career workshops, and scholarships, now we are doing so with a new name and bold new mission.

Why the change? Frankly, it was past time. We long ago parted ways with the national model of Say Yes to Education (SYTE) to better focus on the specific needs of our community. Last year,  SYTE closed its doors, giving our organization the opportunity to align our name and mission with the work we were already doing to help students find success in the classroom and in their careers.

Why shift_ed? Our number one priority is always serving students and shifting them to their greatest potential. Our work in the education continuum centers around helping scholars gear up through elementary, middle, and high school to be ready for college or a career. We strive to think differently about supporting students, and we push our partners to do the same. When outside factors impact our families, we shift to ensure they can stay on track. We want to help them find the pathways to their dreams.

shift_ed has a big dream: to transform communities through diverse educational and workforce pathways. We will do that with our core values leading the way: opportunity, equity in action, bold collaboration, excellence, and agility. With your support, it is not only possible, but it is also inevitable.

We are shift_ed, and we are boldly accelerating student potential.
