Good Morning!
Well I was hoping my headline this week would be "Finally corn planting has begun!" That is not the case. However, on the bright side, we were promised heavy showers in Coldwater today and those never showed up. Right now we are working on side dress applicators, getting them ready to go for when that time comes. We finished our last planter fertilizer install on Tuesday so we should be caught up on planter work. A lot of negatives were seen in the markets this week, but remember everything is temporary, and hopefully soon our China marketplace is open for business. As always feel free to call us with any questions!

Have a great weekend!

Our Planter Setup
This week we spent some time getting our own planter ready to go for when the rain comes to a halt. Our planter is a White 8000 series 6 row planter with a splitter for twin row beans. So we do 30" corn and twin row (2 rows spaced 7.5" apart every 30"). This planter has in furrow fertilizer through the Keeton Seed firmer and dual placement fertilizer using the Yetter 2995 coulter up front and the Yetter 2968 out the back for the rears. We do a lot of no-till or just vertical tillage so we run row cleaners in place of the No-Till coulter. for closing wheels we run mainly Yetter Poly spikes but are playing with several versions of closing wheels on this planter.
