2020 has been surprising and challenging, but it has also offered novel opportunities for successfully bringing wonderful artists and music to our patrons, friends and to the children in our community. With your continued support, Dranoff 2 Piano will bring our concerts and artistic collaborations into 2021. Please consider a tax-deductible gift before midnight tonight, December 31.
Here is what we’ve been doing and planning since March, when the world turned upside down:
We have created new platforms for presenting artists in remote concert locations, brand new music and new learning models for PIANOSLAM 13. Students in 39 schools and over 300 teachers have participated in PIANOSLAM 13 so far, listening, learning and writing about music to the theme of Miami Memories.
We have broadcast over 50 performances of our two piano artists and musical colleagues, often paired with visual art and poetry, as part of our online Music Mondays and Breath of Music programs.
2021 will bring Dranoff’s Cuban symphonic concert for two pianos to Miami, as well as a silent film comedy festival at the Coral Gables Art Cinema featuring all new scores for two pianos. And of course PIANOSLAM 13, both live and on virtual platforms, co-presented with the Adrienne Arsht Center.
We look to you for your financial contribution to keep the music playing.
Wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy new year!
