This month, we hit mid-semester and Spring Break. It's truly an exciting time to be on campus as the weather warms up (hopefully soon!) and students are able to enjoy the sunshine again.

Rejoice Always!

Mid-semester can be an exciting time, and it can be a terrifying reminder of how little of the semester is left. Some students are stressed about the workload, while others are questioning a change in their major. Some students are boldly sharing their faith with friends - while others come through the doors with big questions about faith, the Scriptures, and what it means to follow Jesus. I recently sat down with a student who has bounced between atheist and agnostic, but after late-night conversations with a roommate, is now coming to Bible study genuinely seeking to know who Jesus is and what the Bible teaches.

There is still time to get the grades up. It isn't too late to snag an internship for the summer. But as each day flies past, we lose precious time to help these young men and women grow in their faith, and in some cases, find it for the first time.

Paul urges the Philippian church to seek unity. He exhorts them to rejoice. He tells them to let their graciousness be known to everyone. With these things, he also tells them not to worry but to give those concerns to God in prayer. This all sounds like a good idea for us as well. And, when we do these things, Paul says that the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

It is easy to get caught up in the little things, but often that can distract us from the big things. Please be praying for students who are questioning who Jesus is. Pray also for boldness as believers share the Gospel with their friends.

Thank you for the many ways you pray for, encourage, and support this ministry. Your partnership truly makes it possible for students to encounter Christ while on campus.

We’re deeply grateful to walk alongside you as we love and serve students at the University of Illinois.
