A Busy—and Fun—ReMA2026 for

PSI Officers, Members

ReMA Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter officers and members had a busy—and fun—time at the ReMA2026 convention at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, which ran from April 12-16.

PSI members kicked off the convention action by attending various ReMA governance meetings on Sunday, April 12, and Monday, April 13, including the ReMA Paper Division meeting, which this year was combined with the Plastics Division and MRF Committee meetings. That joint meeting offered information on current issues facing the paper, plastics and MRF sectors and the potential challenges to monitor going forward.

On Tuesday, April 14, PSI officers and members took center stage at the Paper Markets session. Incoming PSI Chapter President Kathy DeLano moderated the session, which featured speakers Brian Holtz of The Wilmington Group, Jason Pelz of Tetra Pak and Joshua Starrett of International Paper. This panel session reviewed key trends in today's recovered fiber markets, including mill demand, quality expectations and global export pressures.

Later on Tuesday, April 14, PSI continued its tradition of holding a member dinner at the ReMA convention, this time gathering together at Libertine Social in Mandalay Bay. The dinner, which attracted 39 attendees, began with a 30-minute cocktail reception. During that period, ReMA President Robin Wiener and the ReMA national officers—Chair Colin Kelly, Chair-Elect Andy Golding, Vice Chair Neil Byce, and Secretary/Treasurer Sean Daoud—visited with the PSI dinner attendees. The visiting ReMA group also included candidates for the ReMA Secretary/Treasurer position, namely Alton Schaubhut, Dave Bestwick, and Josephita Harry. After the cocktail period, the ReMA visitors left and the PSI group sat down for a three-course prix fixe meal. The 39 PSI attendees included all of the PSI officers—outgoing PSI President Tamara Mayberry, incoming PSI President Kathy DeLano, PSI Vice President Ed Tucciarone, and PSI Secretary/Treasurer Justin Jungman—as well as two past PSI Presidents—Leonard Zeid and Myles Cohen—and several PSI board members.

Last but not least, PSI turned out in force for the ReMA Women in Recycling Council happy hour, held Wednesday, April 15, at Border Grill in Mandalay Bay. The PSI attendees included present and past PSI officers, current board members as well as general members.
