This CUNY distinguished professor has just been elected to one of the nation’s oldest honor societies. The election recognizes his extensive scholarship in dramatic theory and theater history.

Malik Atadzhanov, Kingsborough Community College ’21, Hunter College ’23, is a Goldwater scholar passionate about environmental science. He was an intern at the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory, part of a program funded by the National Science Foundation. Malik also worked as a COVID-19 test-and-trace team leader, and served as Gladys Brooke research scholar at KCC. He hopes to earn a Ph.D. in environmental conservation and lead collaborations between American and Tajik scientists.
