Dear Mom and Dad (and/or Reader),
Summer Camp (aka my day-trip to Laguna Beach) is amazing! I won the shrimp-eating contest (aka was “out of control” at Nirvana Grille) and I made so many friends (seagulls are hungry not scary, it turns out)! But the best thing about Summer Camp is my cabin, the Bridge Home.
The Bridge Home at 31726 Scenic Drive was designed in the mid-Twentieth Century by J. Lamont Langworthy. This marvel of single-level design elevates its beachy cabin inspiration with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, rustic exposed beams, and playfully juxtaposed wood finishing. Naturally lit rooms seem to become one with the verdant ocean view that its primary bedroom frames so exquisitely, but the Bridge Home’s most commendable amenity is the titular bridge walkway, 75-feet of sun-softened wood suspended over lush green.
I hope you come by for Visitor’s Week because I want to tell you more about my cabin, but Sammie (the Not-Scary-Seagull) is saving my spot in line for the water slide (aka the fountain at Laguna Hills Mall).
H.A.G.S.* Freddie
**Have a Great Summer, for those old birds!
