A CASE FOR WEATHER BASED IRRIGATION

The recent rain will push us close to June's average rainfall in just the first four days of the month. This will be followed by an extended late-spring warm-up and dry stretch, typical of spring's changeable weather. This variability paired with inaccurate weather forecasts makes setting irrigation controllers exceedingly difficult and often results in over or under-watering. Through more than a decade of experience with water conservation tools, we have found that weather-based irrigation control has a cost savings of 20-30% compared to traditional manually programmed systems.
