Do you remember how exciting it used to be to get something...anything in the mail?   Now imagine if that something was a personal letter from Santa Claus...  When a child, anticipating the most magical time of the year, poetically writes his/her heartfelt letter to Santa Claus, there is no doubt in their mind that their letter will be delivered.   Well, this year with the help of the Rockford Area Historical Society, your child will be able to receive a personal letter from Santa! Knowing how much this one simple tradition means to so many, RAHS will bring this unforgettable holiday treasure to the Rockford area community.  Starting November 27 through December 12, area children are invited to leave their letters to Santa in a special red mailbox at the Ames-Florida-Stork House in Rockford. Be sure to leave your address and child’s name and age in legible writing on the letter. Special elves from the Rockford Area Historical Society will be helping Santa deliver his letters this year!
