Dear Friends and Partners:
I hope this finds you well. I heard something recently that reminded me of a time that gave me a mindset shift. A man on the radio mentioned, "30 days until school sports; get your physicals for your kids and get ready to go back to school." Since my kids are now grown, this isn't a part of my life anymore, but it made me reflect on the change of seasons, the shift in mindset, and the changes in our lives.
Handling these seasons of life can bring excitement, stress, anxiety, and anticipation. As we enter August and prepare for the last half of the year, take a moment to reflect on what you anticipate and what goals you may have, and celebrate the fact that there is always opportunity. Live in the moment but get excited about the new and different opportunities ahead. Jump in with both feet this month, and as the autumn chill arrives, make sure you are prepared for the next opportunity that arises—you just never know.

The Leadership Lessons of Daisy the Dove: Patience, Simplicity, Dedication
A mourning dove—now called Daisy—set up her nest in an outdoor light fixture I was working on in our Arizona house. Daisy had laid two eggs, and we began living near each other. Initially, she would fly away if I got too close, but over time, she stayed put. Her patience and dedication are unmatched and is focused on her task, sacrificing her comfort for her soon-to-be offspring. Observing her, I began to reflect on her resilience and the lessons she offers. Read now!
