ami, please tell us about yourself. How did you become involved with homeopathy and the CHC?
After I witnessed the powerful healing homeopathy effected in my children, I chose to train in classical homeopathy and become a CHC-certified homeopathic practitioner. After 15 years of practice, I now balance my time between part-time homeopathy practice and the CHC. I enjoy being a part of the CHC Team because it offers me an opportunity to support the homeopathy profession in a more global manner.
2. In your role as CHC Executive Administrator, what are the most common questions you encounter?
On a daily basis, I interact with individuals at various stages of the certification journey who seek guidance about how to achieve or maintain CHC certification. Each stage involves multi-step policies and procedures that often require further explanation. My time is mostly spent helping people figure out how to apply the requirements to their unique situations and create plans to achieve their goals or outcomes. Translating technical details into usable information is fun; therefore, CHC work energizes me!
3. What is your vision about the future of Homeopathy as a profession, and what message do you wish to extend to our CCH certificants, candidates and new applicants?
Homeopathy offers the chance to experience a more vital existence, and, to me, that is definitely a life priority. Wouldn't it be great if more people in our country and world had access to this amazing healing discipline? I see certification as a way to broaden homeopathy's reach, helping consumers and policy makers better understand the standards and ethics that underlie the profession.
Over the years, my CCH credential has supported me through many conversations with wary ones who wanted to try homeopathy, but who were afraid to try homeopathy. Now, with the NCCA accreditation backing my credential, my profession is equated with other healthcare professions, and individuals can more easily find comfort in pursuing homeopathic care.
My message to CHC certificants, candidates, applicants and all others who are considering an educational path that leads to certification: Stick with it! The important work you do to attain or retain CHC certification matters to you, your clients, and the homeopathy profession at large. Good luck, and please let me know how I can help your journey along.
