Greetings!
One of the greatest joys of my role is witnessing moments that remind me why our work matters so deeply. Recently, I had the privilege of experiencing one of those unforgettable moments firsthand.
We welcomed 106-year-old John Randolph to our Premier America Club, where one of our youngest members, 6-year-old Noah, had the extraordinary opportunity to sit across the chessboard from him in a match that spanned an incredible century of life experience.
Mr. Randolph is a friend of Mr. Art Mortell, a valued supporter of our Clubs who helped establish our Chess program. Thanks to Art's friendship and dedication, our members experienced something that was about so much more than chess.
As I watched the match unfold, I saw 106 years of wisdom, patience, and lived experience meet the curiosity, confidence, and imagination of youth. Family members proudly cheered on both players while our Club members eagerly set up their own chess boards nearby, turning the room into a celebration of friendly competition, curiosity, and learning.
