Guarding the True Identity of Our Children in Christ
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, let us reflect on one of the most precious gifts entrusted to us: our children. They are a blessing from God and bearers of His image.
In today’s world, however, this sacred truth is being challenged. Our schools increasingly emphasize frameworks like Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and universalism, which subtly shift the foundation of our children's identity. SEL promotes a worldview that places self above God, teaching children to define their worth based on personal feelings or societal standards rather than the unchanging truth of Scripture. Universalism, with its "all roads lead to God" philosophy, dilutes the uniqueness of Christ's sacrifice and the call to live as His disciples.
This distortion threatens to uproot our children from the firm foundation of their faith. But as moms, dads, and grandparents, we must reclaim and reinforce their identity in Him. The Christmas story reminds us that Jesus came not only to save us but also to anchor our identity in something eternal: His unchanging love and truth.
This Christmas, may we rejoice in the birth of Christ, who makes all things new. May we renew our commitment to raising a generation that finds its worth, purpose, and hope in Him alone. Let us stand together, advocating for education that aligns with God’s truth.
Thank you for your prayers and continued support of Truth In Education. May your Christmas be filled with joy, laughter, and the reason for the season, the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Luke 2:1-20
