5th Annual CRRL-Con
Join us for the return of the biggest comic book and pop culture event of the year at Howell Branch this Saturday, May 4, 1:00-4:00. Artists and writers will be on hand to discuss and sell their craft, we'll have a photo/video booth, videogaming, free comic books, and the spectacle of the Cosplay Contest!
Bookshop Sneak Preview Friday
The shelves are loaded with can't-beat deals on used books, movies, and music at the NEW Friends of the Library Bookshop. Friends are invited to a sneak preview this Friday, May 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at 125 Olde Greenwich Drive, Suite 150. Renew your membership today at crrlfriends.org, or simply join at the sale. Get a free book, a window cling, and shop the sale. Memberships start at $10.

Beginning this year, Friends of the Library memberships will begin April 1 and be valid through March 31 of next year. Membership will be extended to April 1, 2020 for any Friends who registered between May 2018-March 2019.
Celebrate National Poetry Month with poetry readings by the winners of the Claudia Emerson Teen Poetry Contest, as well as by our hosts and judges, University of Mary Washington faculty: Amanda Rutstein, Adjunct English Instructor, and Laura Bylenok, Assistant Professor of English.
