Dear Friends,
As I celebrate my first anniversary with CAP, and the end of year is slowly creeping up on us, I am assessing our 2019 targets, goals, and progress.
In January, I set a target to see 10 adoptions come to fruition. As we round this corner, we are ever so close to that number, having a total of 8 finalizations by month's end. I re-visited goals to start the SSAFE project and am thrilled we are rolling out this program as I write this.

2019 has been an exciting and busy year,
as we place child after child with their forever family, and began to impact the community in a positive way with new endeavors. Projecting out to 2020, I will set higher goals, increase our targets, and look to impact the community at a deeper level to ensure all kids have the family opportunity they deserve! We hope you continue to follow and support CAP as we embark on those goals.
Thank you, and see you at the Gala!!!
All my best,
Lauri McKnight

Seventeen-year-old
Passion
is a resilient young woman who works hard to achieve her goals. She has overcome a lot in her young life, but continues to excel in school, and her support community is amazed at her hard work.
She is involved in a work-based learning environment, and also participates in lacrosse and cheerleading. She enjoys recreational outings and interacting with peers and others.
Passion appreciates someone who is there for her and will listen. She is a good advocate for herself and others in need. She would like a forever family who understands that she will always love her birth parents, and who will be okay with her open communication with them.
