Friends, Families and Supporters:
Thank you, each and every person reading this message. Your support of JFGH is profoundly appreciated, and we are deeply honored by it.
As the country begins to slowly ease restrictions, our policies at JFGH remain unchanged. We continue to follow the stay at home order-- no visitors are allowed entry to our community living sites. In order to limit exposure, our DSPs are continuing to “live” in our JFGH homes for two-week stints. We will, of course, continue to follow all guidance from the appropriate governing bodies and share organization updates with you.
It’s around this time annually that rumors begin to flutter about who our next Gala performer will be. With great consideration to the uncertainty around public gatherings for the foreseeable future and an understanding of the tremendous financial strain many of us and our businesses are experiencing,
we will not hold our Gala in 2020.
We are directing all of our resources into our COVID-19 relief efforts and do not feel that a gala is appropriate at this time. We will continue to reimagine how to best connect with all of you and celebrate the people we support; our staff; and inspiring people within our community. We’ll miss seeing you all and dancing the night away this October, as we have for 36 years, but for the health and safety of everyone, this is the only decision we could make. Keep an eye and ear out for new ways to stay connected to JFGH!
David
